Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - AUG 18, 2008
Bottled 50cl. It pours a hazy light orange beer with a decent off white head. Notes of soy sauce and nutmeg in both aroma and taste. Some apricot sneaking in - but only in the nose. Acidic. Poor lacework. Decent finish with some bubblegum and banana showing up. A really poor Weizen in my opinion.

Ungstrup (38382) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2008
Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw, wheat, and banana. The flavor is sweet malty and wheaty leading to a dry finish where fruity notes of oranges and bananas lingers.

ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2007
Cloudy deep yellow colour with a very small head. Wheaty, light banana fruity aroma with a yeasty note. Wheaty sweet flavor with fruity notes.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Bov. Pours a hazy golden with a nice, white head. Classical aroma of yeast and banana. Medium body with a rather lively carbonation. Good, fruity banana accents, yeast and citrus. Dry finish with some phenols. But a very decent Hefe. 150807

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Sweet and slight sour, banana aroma. Sweet fruity flavour. Wheaty finish with a whiff of banana :(

Grovlam (4253) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2007
Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great session] Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Light cloudy yellow color. Spare lacework. Aroma of fruit, caramel, citrus, yeast, light banana and coriander. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light acidic and bitterness. Light sweet and fruity finish. Very fruity Hefeweizen I thought. 15-08-2007

fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 15, 2007
Cloudy blond color; poor head retention. Banana aroma first, followed by the wheat and light spices. Good body strength, at least the sweetness helps swallowing it; it balances well the typical Wheat characteristics (wheat, spices, banana…). Medium final. Not bad.

3.3
TBone (18215) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2006
Bottled (BB 11/2006)
Just a bit hazy golden color, small steady white head. Strong grapefruit, apple and banana in the nose. Crisp, very citric and wheaty -fruity and refreshing, not maybe the most typical hefeweizen.

3.5
oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2006
Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is wheat, spices, fruits and banana. Flavour is spicy, wheat, slight banana and some wooden hints. Refreshing, and quite special, not a beer in the masses in the style.
