Klosterbryg er brygget på pilsnermalt, hvedemalt og karamelmalt. Det er krydret med tre forskellige typer af aromahumle, som matcher maltene. Dette er en øl med 6% alkohol, som er i stil med India Pale Ale.

Bottle. White lasting head. Unclear light yellow colour (reminds me of one of the human being’s bodily fluids, uf). Smoky malt aroma. Smoky flavor as well.

A very bad beer. It might have been infected, this is the first beer I have refused to complete drinking. Sorry.

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Both aroma and flavour are hoppy, but with a distinct sour feeling to it, bordering vinegar. Makes me think of white wine or sekt. Don’t know if it’s supposed to be like this or if it’s a bad bottle. It’s drinkable though, and at 40 dkk a bottle I’m rating this if it’s bad or not. Not much of an IPA, though. 15-01-06.

Incredible India Pale Ale from Aarhus Bryghus!!! This one must be considered as their best beer right now. Very refreshing taste and great appearance, it is surely the big rice worth, so go on and try it.

60 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Golden colour with a weak fluffy head. Sour fruity aroma, also very sour and acid flavour, maybe infected, if not this beer socks...

A good lagerstyle IPA, that has a rather hoppy taste. A bitter aftertaste and a powerful fruity aroma

LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2005
Vey refreshing IPA but the name "Klosterbryg" (abbey brew) seems a little misleading - it makes me think of Belgian beers. Pretty golden colour with a big but quickly disappearing head. Aroma is mostly acidic (lemon). Initial flavour is malty sweet but quickly the citrusy flavours takes over. Finish is not very bitter. A refreshing and unusual but not very interesting IPA.

Bottle. When Aarhus Bryghus were ready to send out their beers on the danish market, they had already sold out everything in stock (and just sold on a more general scale). It shouldn’t be seen as a sign of quality of their beers, but more due to a commercialized approach by the brewery, who took the offer from one of the (if not THE) largest retail grocery chains in Denmark. Maybe this beer just reflects the desire to make a quick buck, rather than brew something with integrity. So far, I haven’t been impressed with the beers, I’ve tasted from them (this is just the first one rated). Boring IPA, yet drinkable!

Bottle. Golden color with a white head. The taste is a sweet light malty body with a hoppy and slight dry bitter palate. Slight fruity notes. A little thin on the palate.

On tap at Fynske Øldage, Odense, Denmark. Hazy golden beer. Light fruity aroma with green apples and hops. Thin body and fruity-bitter finish. Boring. (051028)
