Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Both aroma and flavour are hoppy, but with a distinct sour feeling to it. yespr (47581) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - SEP 9, 2007

Pours hazy yellow to light orange with a lacing white head. Slight spiced aroma, rather faint. Flavour is much like the extra pilsner but has a mild caramel sweetness. A slight spiced finish.
A hazy orange beer with a dense off-white head. The aroma is sweet yeasty with notes of straw and alcohol - and estery from warm fermentation. The flavor is very fruity and quite sharp with hints of metal, but also with notes of yeast, alcohol, caramel, spices, and straw, leading to a dry hoppy end - my guess is Goldings hops. The body is quite powerful. joergen (29234) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2005 Bottled.
Cloudy orange coloured with an off white head.
Aroma is dominated by spices with notes of hops and malts.
Flavour is dominated by spices (especially coriander) with notes of citrus and hops.
Very interesting abbey-ale, but haven’t much to do with an IPA. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 2, 2010
Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite much bready malts, some grains, mild floral hops and some earthy notes. Flavour is quite bready malts as well as some grassy, floral hops and some mild herbal notes. OK, so I had expected to get something else than a Pale Lagerish beer claiming to be an IPA because of the name... I am still confused what exactly this beer is for real...

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy golden, rich lively head. Peachy lightly smokey nose. Sweet with some lemony acidity. Medium bodied with low bitterness. Lacks direction. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2005 (On tap) Presumably the debut brew from Aarhus Bryghus. And much contrary to most other micros this was on the taps earlier than expected! Rasmus40 (21991) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2011
Pale amber golden, slightly hazy and pretty much without any head - typically British appearance. Some caramel and fruit in the nose. Malty, fruity even slightly citrusy flavours with a good, solid hoppy finish. Not a bad start from master brewer Niels Buchwald. 050805
Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity and light spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 280210 chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2006
Draught at Cockney Pub, Aarhus, August 2005. The very first brew from this new brewery, so I can make some allowances if things are not quite right. From the name and the colour (gold/amber), I was expecting something aiming at an Abbey tripel style but it certainly wasn’t that. And I’m not sure why it is on the site as a pale lager because I don’t think its that either. To be honest it was a bit difficult to tell because there was an unfortunate whiff of diacetyl on the nose and whatever other elements were in the aroma weren’t strong enough to break through. And whilst there was a little citrus and yeast on the palate, it wasn’t really full flavoured enough to get much of a handle on the flavour either. Not to say it was unpleasant, just not very distinctive. More work needed.

Hazy blond color. It has a nice fat aroma of cereals, sweetish. Also the flavor has some cereals, but less interesting. Good bitterness level, you can feel the hop oils till the end.
2008-02-05, draught at Ris-Ras, Århus, 5-3-5-3-10=26
Hazy blond color. As Ale it’s quite simple, and both aroma and flavor strangely show signs of ageing, some skunkiness (very light), maybe cork (?). There is a very light fruitness and strong bitterness. To be tried again…
