COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
1964 – TRIBUTE er en kraftig Barleywine på 9%. Netop Barleywine er en typisk engelsk øltype, en overgæret kraftig øl, som med sin styrke nærmest er vinøs. Denne øltype har sin oprindelse fra de mange krige mellem England og Frankrig. Englænderne var meget glade for den franske vin, men under krige var det svært at skaffe vinen, samtidig med at det nærmest var at fraternisere med fjenden at drikke fransk vin. Derfor udviklede man disse meget stærke øl og kaldte det Barleywine. Vores 1964 – TRIBUTE er brygget som en hyldest til denne øltype, og lanceres fredag den 4. april, idet netop denne dag er helt speciel i Liverpool. Den 4. april 1964 toppede de populære Beatles-drenge Billboards TOP100 liste med ikke bare 1. pladsen, men også 2. pladsen, 3. pladsen, 4. pladsen og 5. pladsen. Tribute fra Aarhus Bryghus er en årgangsøl, der vil blive mildere og blidere med tiden. Den er brygget af udvalgte bygmalte, sukker og den fineste aromahumle.

Bottle from Brugsen. Pours amber with an off-white head. Sweet malty taste of caramel, hops, dried fruits. Oily texture. Soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish.

25-JUN-2015, bottle @home, present from Erik, brought back from Southside, Aarhus. Clear amber with lasting off-white head. Aroma is fruity malt. Taste is fruit, malt, dried fruit, bread, nuts. Bitter. Sweet, full bodied. Quite nice for an Aarhus brew:-)

Sample at Danske Ölentusiaster Festival 2015. Clear amber beer with a small but lasting beige head. Malty caramel aroma, hazelnuts, toffee, vanilla, raisins, some spices. Fruity malty flavor, figs, raisins, caramel, toffee notes, warming alcohol, some spices again. Quite nice.
