Can or bottle in Tromso. Clear deep amber beer, tiny off white head. Light crisp palate, dry. Ok fresh minerally malt - a little sweet. Very mild barely there dried fruit hops before the dry finish. Just the wrong side of one dimensional.

Bottle. Brown colour with a light beige head. Llight roasted malt and light caramel nose. Solid dry malty flavour, light coffe notes. Not any massive beer, but a decent easy drinkable one

Clear, sparkling, medium brown body with a large, off-white head that reduces to a thin layer rather quickly, fair lacing. The aroma suffered due to completely wrong serving temperature: more or less straight out of the refrigerator. Therefore the aroma was very weak and boring, I could pick up some faint caramel, but the Aass trademark, the metallic notes, were just as present. As the beer warmed up the aromas and flavours came more into play, and a nice style typical caramel touch was obvious. The metallic notes were not present in the flavours. Medium to light sweet taste with a light plus bitterness. Soft carbonation and rather light body. All in all very similar to the Hansa bayer, but with more bitterness and, at least if served too cold, a fainter aroma. Still, decent stuff.

Can. Overall, a rather decent beer. It starts out with an copper-colored body and a large slightly off-white head. The head itself is rather well retained, with lacing that clings tightly to the side of the glass. All-in-all, the body looks to be pretty robust. The nose is fairly aromatic: largely sweet, with hints of caramel and metal. The mouth feel is pretty watery. The taste is decent: malty, caramel, but somewhat metallic. All-in-all, it’s a decent beer with pretty good taste, but certainly not full of flavors that one might a expect from a good dunkel.

Dark copper brown, big tanned head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and small hints of smoke. Taste is quite malty with good sweetness. Feel is a bit dry. Finish has very nice hop bitterness

Laff malziger Antrunk, trocken. Das Röstmalz wirkt im Mittelteil bitterer und wird noch trockener, dazu dezent säuerlich. Zum Abgang wird es zitrusartig, die Intensität ist nun immerhin annehmbar. Anspruchsloses Halbdunkel. 8/7/7/5/6/6

Draft at a bar in Bergen. Pours amber with off white head. Aroma and flavor of malt with sweet notes. Watery and a little bland, but still drinkable. (Rated offline on 2011/04/12)

0.5l can. This bayer pours a deep nutty brown body with a one-fingersize bubbly off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet and dark-malty, perhaps some thin coffee notes and definitely some burned caramel. Body is medium, texture somewhat watery and carbonation quite low. Flavors are much the same as the aroma; dark malty with notes of burned caramel and thin coffee. Ends slightly bitter and watery. A absolutely decent bayer from Aass this.

Amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt and toffee with a vegetable note. Dry malty flavour with a bit of caramel
