2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
50 cl can, [email protected]
, abv 4.7%.
Light beige-apricotish head, fluffy, makes some lacings. Clear dark amber body.
Fruity roasted malts in scents.
Mild taste with malts in centre, sweet malts, roasted malts, butter.
Smooth, slightly watery to palate. Aftertaste is mild, caramellic malts, faint cognac hints, not longlasting. Overall; possible to improve some sides by this beer.
33 cl. bottle. Clear reddish-brown. Low off-white head. Nutty chocolate-like toasted malty aroma. Not too sweet, thanks to underlying bitterness from the hops. Relatively malty. Clear clean, defined flavors. Excelent balance. By the way it’s interesting that almost all lager beers get lower scores than ales. Perhaps natural, because most ales has more fruitiness from yeast, is higher hoped and are more complex. By the way, Aass bayer is a excellent bayer. Then I’m objective. Not affected by the fact that the beer comes from my hometown and that I have been drikking it for over 40 years. ChrisOfstad (334) - Hamar, NORWAY - APR 21, 2017
0,5 Litre Can at home. Dark brown with light head. Sweet, Quite Good taste. floydslip (422) - Washington DC, USA - APR 11, 2017
Deep amber colored beer with a thick foamy eggshell head. Nose of toffee, almonds, and vanilla with a bit of sourness. Flavor is quite a disappointment given the aroma with watered down notes of cream soda, caramel, and nuts finished with a limp bitterness. Should be better. appearance: clear pour the color of tea, pretty still, short light tan head quickly vanishes to a shy ring of frothy bubbles. aroma: cola, light root beer, raisin, grass, cough syrup. taste: marzen-like lager notes, but completely flat; hint of almond husk and light molasses. finish: some grass on the back end, with lingering caramel; palate remains slick and flat. notes: Tastes like it should be one of those awful double-strength Russian lagers, and there’s a kind of flat, sweet heat to it. How is this under 5% abv with a taste and mouthfeel like that? Weird one. Flavors themselves are ok, but the palate just kills this one.

Draft @ Gummibaren, Drammen.
ERB92 (790) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2016
Aroma of malt, caramel and hints of chocolate, nuts, brown sugar and dried fruits. Deep amber with a off-white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average to soft carbonation. Overall not a very interesting brew, but a decent drink. Grzesiek79 (4433) - Radom, POLAND - APR 17, 2016
Many thanks for this Can to Jacek. Piwo ciemno brazowe z odcieniem ciemnej czerwieni. Piana spora dość trwala. Zapach adekwatny do stylu, podobnie ze smakiem. Lekka slodzona kawa, karmel, mleczna czekolada, trochę toffi. Zbyt slodowy Dunkel jak dla mnie altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - FEB 6, 2016
