Perhaps the best Norwegian beer. Drink this beer temperate! Shadallion (534) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 17, 2001
This the king of bocks. Smooth, creamy and delicous. Not as challenging as dopples, so a new beer drinker should start here. A bottle-conditioned twang takes it to a new level. Awesome beer. twierz99 (15) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 21, 2002
Beautiful all the way around. One of my favorite beers. SJP (483) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2002
While I didn’t like their pilsner because of the vanilla flavor in it, the toffee flavor in this bock makes it simply excellent. A truly great bock. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 12, 2002
Dark brown, with a somewhat foamy head. A sweet and malty nose almost toffeelike. Smooth and creamy feel with classic bock qualities. A classic in the style.

An extremely delicious Bock. Beautiful color, generous head a nice finish. The alcohol is hardly noticable. Andrew196 (1902) - Katy, Texas, USA - JUN 9, 2002
This beer is outstanding! By far, the best bock I have ever had. Pretty orange-maroon color, small head. Aroma of roasted malty caramel. Taste was excellent...somewhat complex for a bock....molasses, caramel, rounded out perfectly with a crisp hop finish....this beer kicks aass! Sigmund (7458) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 25, 2002
Probably the best Norwegian beer (of any style) you can get. The benchmark of a Norwegian bock. AceOfHearts (1374) - Mountain View, California, USA - MAY 23, 2002
Very nice!! I proclaim that from now on, I will not make immature jokes about the name ’Aass’. Just kidding, I will. What if you crossed Aass Bock and Hair of the Dog? Anyway, I LOVED the appearance - rich, creamy head, dark color. Nice caramel in the aroma which followed through well into the flavor, maltiness, sweet. Attention Shiner, Ziegen, Saxer, Michelob: THIS is a real bock!! Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2002
Deep mahogany, minimal head. Dark chocolate, raisins, cherries, marzipan, a hint of espresso. Truly wonderful.
