An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is very light with notes of caramel and grain. The flavor is acidic malty with primary notes of caramel, and a dry slightly roasted end.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2006
(Can 50 cl) Beautiful, clear orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Completely unclean and flawed aroma of metal and caramel. Light body with weird, unclean accents of vegetables and sweet malt. This beer must be off. 211006

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2007 Can. Reddish-brown with a small off-white head. Caramel, raisin, sweet caramel and spices in aroma. Roasted malt flavor with some bitterness in finish. (051123)

Can. Red brown colour with a beige head. Thin roasted coffee aroma. Sweet roasted caramel flavour. Light roasted finish.

A new "klasse D" Christmas brew from Aass, much better than the "Julebrygg" they introduced last year. Beautiful deep copper colour, very good and thick head. Aroma of malts, oak and spices. Malty flavour, a bit thin as expected from a "klasse D" beer - still one of the best Norwegian beers of this ABV class. Sweet, but not too much. Decent.

larsga (7656) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 25, 2005
Big, offwhite, somewhat creamy head; deep dark red body. Sweet malty aroma with notes of straw- or grass-like hops. Taste is full of sweet malts initially, followed by sweet, caramel and chocolate malts, and relatively mild grassy hops. Overall, an OK beer. Ok for Christmas, ok for any other time. Not that interesting.

5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 5, 2004
Bottle pours reddish copper with a medium frothy off-white head and decent lacing.   Fairly grainy on the nose, light malts too.   Forwardly malty and grainy with subtle spices.   Mouthfeel is somewhat velvety, at least moreso than any other Aass offering.   An enjoyable sweetness on the finish.   Wow, not half bad!

KnutAlbert (6792) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2005
Sweet beer, lacking a proper bitter finish. The 2005 edition is not recommneded. Watery and thin. Nice colour, though! 50 cl can.

Beer5000 (6735) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2009
500 ml can. Clear amber body with a fine nice off/white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Flavor is slightly roasted malt, caramel and a mild bitterness. Quite OK

Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2006
Can. Amber colour with a big beige head. Corn, light caramel malty aroma and taste. Medium body with a sweet light dusty finish.
