Sweet, caramel aroma. Clean, crisp taste, and an almost dry aftertaste. Interesting and complex. Very flavorful with strong malt presence.

Rødbrun, medium skum. Aroma av malt, gjær og mild karamell. Samme i smaken - gjær. Tam ettersmak, tynn konsistens.

One blizzardy St. Pats in Boston, my friends and I got downtown too late to get into our favorite Guinnessing pubs and retreated to Julie’s place. She had bought this beer for the name and we dutifully, if a little sadly, quafed it, noting the spiciness. Not enough to replce a St. pats Stout, but rich enough to be there to soothe the disappointment.

Aroma is malty and sweet, with cherries, caramel, oak, dry with a slightly carbonated hint. Ruby red color with a nice off white head that slowly settles, leaving behind some very nice lacing. Flavor has caramel and malts, slightly sweet, and little less exciting than I was lead to expect from the aroma. Still a nice brew.

A friend of mine had a few selections of this beer and generously shared a couple with me. I thought it was an odd combination of a belgian style ale and a bottle of liquified dried fruit (well then it wouldn't be dried fruit anymore would it) maybe reconstituted dried fruit. At any rate, it wasn't too bad, I think it was an old bottle that doesn't age well... poured nicely with a large pink head and a ruby colored body, decent flavor of oak and malts. Hmm, interesting.

A good Chistmas style beer. Clean, crisp taste with fruity, sweet, and bitter flavors.

ERB92 (739) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 1, 2014
weak caramel, malt wort and a hint of spices in the aroma. Amber with a off white head. Medium sweet and light bitterness. Light body with a lively carbonation. Overall totally OK, but not something to remember.
