Sweet, caramel aroma. Clean, crisp taste, and an almost dry aftertaste. Interesting and complex. Very flavorful with strong malt presence.

A friend of mine had a few selections of this beer and generously shared a couple with me. I thought it was an odd combination of a belgian style ale and a bottle of liquified dried fruit (well then it wouldn't be dried fruit anymore would it) maybe reconstituted dried fruit. At any rate, it wasn't too bad, I think it was an old bottle that doesn't age well... poured nicely with a large pink head and a ruby colored body, decent flavor of oak and malts. Hmm, interesting.

A good Chistmas style beer. Clean, crisp taste with fruity, sweet, and bitter flavors.

Bottle from Ica, Vikersund. Clear, reddish brown colour. Finger-thick offwhite head that reduces quickly. Slightly sweet malty aroma quite well balanced with soft hop bitterness. Finishes too sour. Very average brew that failed to induce xmas emotions.

cloudy throughout. Tons of barley in the nose, I like that familiar Aass aroma. Nice and malty, with a dry-ish finish. Sweet stuff.

50 cl can, 2015 vintage. Dark reddish amber, two-finger off-white to tan head, crystal clear, low cabonation. Really a nice looking beer. Not much aroma. Dry and bitter mouthfeel, probably from the hops. It’s a weird one, this beer. It don’t smell much, and it don’t taste much. The only footprint is the dry, fizzy carbonated mouthfeel and a great look. Would probably benefit from beeing stored for a year or so.

Dark dirty brown color with a minimal head. Malty, nutty aroma. Not as sweet as I expected. Full-bodied in its flavor. A fairly dry-roasted aftertaste. I believe the GREEN bottle sat for awhile on the shelve. Don't know if this helped it any or not. It was still a pleasing beer.

330 ml bottle @ my parents place December 23,2012. Amber in color.Aroma of malt, caramel and dried fruit. A bit thin and weak in taste, but i guess 4,5 ABV is the reason. Ok and descent beer.

This beer is interesting. It has a wet palate, but a dry aftertaste. I like the caramel flavor which is also very noticeable in the aroma.

Fairly pleasant. I don't taste any spices, but I agree with everyone about it being a fine Vienna. Reminds me a lot of Negra Modelo.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2013 33 cl can. Superb look of dark red with hints of brown. Has large white head. Pretty neutral nose. Has aromas of caramel but sweetness is not all over other aromas. Carbonation is pretty low, longer after taste would be beneficial for brew. Still a good one.
