Bottle. Sweet aroma - honey and some pine. Taste subtle but not with too many tones. Short. Not too nice. Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - DEC 19, 2009
Bottles. Actually, several. Pours dark reddish brown with a finger of light tan head that fades fast. Some lace. Aroma is sweet, caramel and roasted notes, some burnt sugar. A metallic bitterness saves it from being overly sweet. Body is quite light, a bit too thin. Carbonation a bit too sparkly. Otherwise, it’s not bad. Tasty, but plain. Hmm, thought this would be more of a Jubel or Celebration style. This is a Belgian?!?
Pours a dark translucent brown with some head and just a bit of lacing.
Smells, well, skunky, to be honest. Damn if they didn't put this into a green bottle. While I realize that they don't get much sunlight in Norway, the rest of the world does.
Tastes not as skunky, thankfully, but still not great. Think of a fruity Newcastle Brown; yeah, that's it, with a little more mouthfeel and fruity flavors.
Mouthfeels is nothing special for this style. Drinkability is okay, but again nothing special.
Hmph. I was looking forward to this beer, too. zeke626 (460) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 29, 2007
Thanks to akevitt for sharing. Pours a clear brown body with red hue and off-white head. Head is foamy, but laces nicely. Spicy aroma with a very bock-like body. Finishes clean. TyggaBrown (430) - NORWAY - NOV 25, 2012
Not the best christmas beer I know. A tiny hint of caramel, the rest isn’t christmassy at all, no spices or malty notes. Quite refreshing, and not thin at all.

Dark fruits, caramel, toffee, and sugar cookies for aroma and flavor. Roasted, full mouthfeel. Not bad. Snegurochka (395) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2012

330ml with pinnekjø[email protected]
Red-brown body with tiny head. Sweet prunes, caramel, dates nose. Sweet, but balanced. A bit better in itself than Mack Juleøl, but Mack was better with pinnekjøtt.
A clear dark amber/brown colour, whilst the head is off-white. Moderately malty aroma, taste is also malty, some roast and a slight cardboard feel. (Bottle) Frode (383) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2015
Bottle 33 cl.
Amber, with beige head. Roasted malty, dust and some caramel. Medium sweet. Short, slightly dry finish.
