I think the commercial description is pretty accurate. Deep copper color. Definate sweetness. Smooth finish. Not a huge fan though. Something just didn’t work for me. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 3, 2002
Very light aroma, sweetness and not much else discernible. Sweet flavor, hints of oak and malt, but pretty light for a winter. Not bad, but nothing special. rabuc (143) - carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2004

Clear amber, reddish colour with a beige head. Light roasted aroma with notes of bread. Light roasted malty flavor with notes of bread and fruit. Dry and light sweet finish. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2009
Can (courtesy KnutAlbert I think), May 2008. 4.7% according to my notes. Copper colour. Chocolate malt aroma. Some cardboard notes. Relatively dry. Rather thin mouthfeel. Not entirely unpleasant but nothing special.

A brown coulored beer
Aroma; Some corn on the nose, maybe some caramell?
Flavour; Same as the aromas, with some hops and caramell. Too high carbonation abstractbeer (241) - NORWAY - NOV 3, 2010
"2010 edition", bottle from local store. Pours a brown brew with an off-white head which quickly disappears. Nose is sweet. Aroma has hints of licorice, dark sweet fruits, malt. Good mouthfeel, but slightly watery. Nice balance, not sickeningly sweet. Pretty good "grocery store juleøl", but not very exciting. Zoney (144) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2010
Can. Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Typical norwegian christmas beer. Could need a little more of everything, but a nice beer. daje (4436) - NORWAY - JAN 17, 2011
Bottle. Dark copper color, thin layer off-white head. Aroma of caramel. roasted malt. Lively carbonation, good bitterness for the style.

A clear dark amber/brown colour, whilst the head is off-white. Moderately malty aroma, taste is also malty, some roast and a slight cardboard feel. (Bottle)
