Moderately fresh, malty, a fulness embraced by a slight alcohol aroma and bitterness.A little unbalanced beer that could be better but I think it was good. God jul :) ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 10, 2013
Bottle traded with Cunningham. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit and nuts. Quite fruity, no alcohol detected, with the exeption of a pleasant warm feeling in the finish. Light sweet, light bitter taste, not too complex but nicely balanced and pleasantly mellow. A very nice Christmas sipper. Foffern (1963) - Bodø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle at home. Vintage 2011. Has a deep reddish brown colour with a beige medium and a bit creamy head. Aromas of dried fruit, wood, leather and some chocolate. More dried fruit in a sweet flavour along with much of the same and some smoke in the end. Has a slick and rich mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. The beer has a nice balance and richness, a Christmas classic.

330ml bottle with pinnekjø[email protected]
’s Dec.28th 2012.
Deep brown body. Berries, prunes, plums and spices. Hint of alcohol in taste. I prefer their regular Juleøl or Mack juleøl both with food or just to drink.
A little too much of the smokyness, too. Dark and heavy and tasty otherwise. visionthing (5496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 27, 2012
33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet (2011). Pours very dark ruby with an off-white to beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, caramel and some roasty notes. Sweet and fruity with a lightly bitter finish. Alcohol is well integrated. Decent Christmas beer. (2012-11-24) Holmen1 (6304) - Stavanger, NORWAY - NOV 15, 2012
ABS (1089) - Stokke, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2012
Pours deep brown, red hue. Red fruit and alcohol nose. Malt, red fruit, lots of alcohol and some water aroma. Good though. Some carbonation. Sweet. Bitter ending.
