An ok pilsner with a very light head and heavy carbonation. A malty aroma emanates from the glass with a hoppy flavor. Easy to drink, but nothing special. Gotta love the name though.
A very nice pilsener that doesn't deserve the few bad ratings i've seen.It had nice golden color ,light hop aroma with a slightly bitter after taste nothing bad at all well worth the exsperience Marc (486) - Yokosuka, JAPAN - OCT 27, 2002
Light saaz and sweet malts in the nose. I blame the green bottle for the skunkiness. Soft mouthfeel with a mild sweet charactor, not too much fizziness. Wheaty finish. Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 10, 2002
Today are my 25th b-day and it was time to take over and hunt down beer form Norway. Aass was its name. This beer helped me to be positioned in top 5 in most countries. Nice gift, it is. Well this beer had weak fizzy head, light golden look, aroma light as well but not skunky despite green bottle. Malty but very low on hops. Average. Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2002
Straw yellow with a white head. Hoppy at first with honey like undertones followed by a malty sweetness. Not bad.

This is one great pilsner beer. Clear golden color. Nice malty presence along with those Saaz and Hallertau hops in the nose make this one outstanding beer. There's enough bodied for this beer to be enjoyable but it's light enough to be extremely drinkable especially on these hot summer days. igneous1 (1538) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - AUG 24, 2002

Decent pilsener. Not that great not that bad. A little metallic in the body of the taste. Good aftertaste with not too much bitters. A good all around pilsener. Not too unique. DocKozzak99 (143) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2002
Had this in the hotel bar in my hotel in Oslo last year. very nice, dry & authoriative taste with a nice body. grreat with seafood. austinpowers (2831) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 3, 2002
Aass pulls off a rather dry, crisp Saazy pils that nevertheless is somewhat unsatisfying. Czechvar does the pils better, I think. Good color and head, rather fizzy. Not really very sweet as some say.
