November 2016 version. Pours orange with medium head. Aroma: beautiful esthery aroma of peaches, some spices, a bit of exotic fruit (mango?). Taste: nice peach, countered by a slightly peppery/spicy taste, nice finish with a bit of wild taste. Very good.

As ’Tripel’. February 2016. Moon-emblazoned Fliptop. Marmalade pour awash with floaties. Narrow white head. Restrained stone fruit aroma of apricot and nectarine. Empty at the strength with rubber, almond and lemon cake suggestions. About as drab, discreetly turbocharged and lacking in esters or aromatic interest as tripel gets. Should’ve had a Maltese coffee.

bottle, when opening, beautiful pop on bottle, malty fresh, creamy taste, little bitter, fresh smells, rum flavour aftertaste, little gassy, citrussy fruity flavour after a while. Good mix but not quite smooth to warrant higher scores and better mixes of components. Nice smooth beer if you let it sit for 10 minutes then continue. Cannot taste the 10% alcohol ut little bitterness of rum feeling has nice chnage to taste.

Got this from the draft at Proeflokaal ’t Paultje. Really good beer. Strong malt flavour, with hints hop. Sweet triple ale, brown hazy colour; nice glass! Overall really good beer, lovely touch that it’s said to be only brewed by full-moon? Mysterious

Geserveerd in een uniek glas. Lekker blond abdijbier. Aanrader. Mooie balans van hoppe en bitterheid. Topbier.

Five bucks for a 750 at Total Wine: pours orange with white head. Aroma is sugar, fruit, spice, and booze. Taste is sweet... uncomplex. Not particularly pleasant to drink.

Fresh funky smell with hints of sour berries and Belgian yeast. The taste is citrusy fresh but with a clear sweetness that comes on a bit too strong towards the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice sweet aroma. Some sour cheeries, although very faint. The taste is to sweet with no balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Paix Dieu is one smooth brew for being 10%. Pour carefully to avoid foaminess. Color is a hazy orange. Some yeast notes in the aroma, but otherwise unremarkable. Taste candy sweet with yeast notes and very smooth. Not boozy bite. Paix Dieu goes down good.
