ekstedt (6668) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2008
Bottle (33 cl) at Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgium. This never-heard-of triple poured hazy amber with a large off-white head into my glass. A complex earthy malt aroma with notes of yellow apples, butterscotch, wood, and some barnyard emerged from the glass. The mouthfeel was very soft, with a light prickling carbonation. Very well balanced with a dry but somewhat too short finish. A highly pleasant surprise.

Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - OCT 21, 2007
Bottle from the Oxford CAMRA beer festival. Light copper, big soft white cap with a bit of elegant lace. Bright high-frequency esters: pears, bubble gum, green bananas. A peppery nip with a taste, followed by warming banana and cognac. Dry, clean finish. A solid and pleasing tripel.

SHIG (4952) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - SEP 16, 2007
Bottle: Poured a hazy copper yellow with a full thick off white cream head. The aroma was sweet with hints of fruit and caramel/spice. Sweet fruit with a candy like malt presence, finished a bit hoppy and rusty flavored.

beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2007
The pour reveals a cloudy dark gold color with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet (caramel) and fruity. The flavor has a pleasant blend of hops, chewy malt, caramel and candied fruits. The body is light to medium and the carbonation is lively.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2007 buona, non eccezionale, ma temevo molto peggio perché l’ho comprata del tutto ’a caso’ da Squillari (pagata 2.00 o poco più). Mi ha fatto molto piacere assaggiarla.

Dedollewaitor (15905) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2007
Vintage 2002: Tasted Caorle, Italy: Unclear amber red/orange with white fluffy head. Sweet dried fruits & malts in the aroma - like a good port wine. Filling mouthfeel - soft. Nice lacings. Sweet sugar malty caramel/dark fruity flavor with a long lingering aftertaste/end. Wauw - the best Northern Italy had to offer me this summer!

french tickler (649) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2007
Murky yellow / orangish poor with a frothy beige head. Aromas are very floral (hops), citrus, hints of caramel, caramelised malts and a sligh sweetness to it. Sweet nice soft bitter mouthfeel. Medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Added flavors of caramel and raisins. Has alot more character the warmer it gets.
