Lightly scented aroma followed by a subtly bitter taste. It leaves a subtle raisin fruitiness on the palate ending with a pleasant bitter tonic when swallowing.

Bottle at Beer Brothers’ Festival 2007, Mechelen, Belgium
Hazy, blond body. White, fizzy head. Ok lace. Very fresh aroma (like some kind of cleaning product) of citrus, orange. Quite complex and interesting nose. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Quite yeasty flavour. In total, I don’t really like it that much as I did like the aroma.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy blond body with average carbonation and a nice white foamy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with bready, grassy, and flowery hints. Well balanced malty/hoppy taste that ends with a sharp bittersweet finish.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 19, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2010 In short: A basic floral Belgian blonde ale. Good but nothing special.
How: Bottle 330ml, drank when about 6 months of age
The look: Clear blonde body topped by an initially large white head with medium retention
In long: Averagely fruity for a Belgian Ale with flavours of pineapples, apples (red and green), bananas, some grapefruits. Hops are very much on the floral side of things, almost perfumy. Sensation of floral petal juice along with some dry grass. Light acidity. Very lively carbonation, maybe a bit too much so. White pepper and salty notes, the beer has a strong mineral presence. An overall crisp and fresh sensation upped the score a few points. Very drinkable in its simplicity, almost underrated. The truth is that this beer isn’t far from one of the best Belgian Blonde ale. Silly is only 70 miles away from Westvleteren.

Borresteijn (7267) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 28, 2008
Bottle @ Take One. Hazy golden colour, white head. Very fruity aroma, malty and flowery. Flavour adds some hoppy notes to that, with a slightly bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Becomes a bit boring in the end.

3.3
Bov (12888) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 3, 2008
hazy blond colour with a huge white foam, estery nose with notes of pear, sweet and medium-bodied, moderate bitterness, long fruity finish, slightly tart
