Pour dark brown, with a huge white head. Aroma of plums, dates, caramel, slight bready stuff as well. The taste is rather sweet upfront, with some balancing bitterness to it. Medium bodied, with a nice mellow and smooth carbonation. A very nice "christmas" beer indeed. 3

Blomsterduft.En noget speciel smag, med sødme og humle der passer i et ligelig fordeling

dorain (484) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2017
Aus einer 0,33 Flasche von 2014. Ein klassisches dunkles Belgisches Starkbier wie es sein muß. Lecker!

ardeo (494) - Flémalle, BELGIUM - MAY 19, 2017
Juste "sympa" !

Jimbo2 (521) - DENMARK - MAR 29, 2017
Classicaly Belgian. Heavy on esters. Fairly low carbonation. Although somewhat more plain than the great Belgians.

stupre (459) - Nanterre, FRANCE - MAR 12, 2017
Bottle purchased @ La caisse de bières. Levures présentes mais bel équilibre.

Bamsen78 (5487) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2017
Bottle. Gusher. Pours hazy dark ruby with sediment and airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast, with notes of fruit. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and yeast, with fruity and hoppy notes. Hints of cinnamon. Estery and malty aftertaste with acidic hints. Decent. Very decent, indeed.

Tide (4063) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 31, 2017
Bottle from Beergium. Dark/red brown color, beige head. Bitter taste with malts, spices, earthy notes, toffee, ripe fruits, black currant, bread and yeast. Bitter finish with malts, spices, yeast, toffee, ripe fruits and cookie dough. Excellent Belgian strong ale.

adamnase (810) - Kronoby, FINLAND - JAN 24, 2017
Bottle from boxbeers.dk. Pours hazy dark amber with beige head. Aroma has malt, dark malt, bread, grain, caramel and some fruity notes along with hints of spices. Taste is malty with bread, dark malt, caramel, grain and some dried and overripe fruity notes with fig, raisin and date and also notes of spices. Finish is balanced malty, sweet and dry. Really nice!

Bottle. BBE date Oct 2016; Drank July 2016 - Red Brown in colour. Average creamy off-white head. Good lacing. Yeasty; heavily sedimented, lots of floaties. Very Malty; toasty malts, caramel, candy sugar, some chocolate. Very Fruity; dark fruits, plums, raisins, prunes, dates, vinous, port-like. Spicy; clove, cinnamon, ginger. Sweet malty very fruity yeasty spicy throughout. Delightful and complex. Enjoyed this. Terrific! (2016-07-08)
