4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours reddish brown with a good sized head and lots of sediment. Taste is malty and complex. Very enjoyable.
Bottle. Dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma has dark fruits, caramel, nuts, wood and raisins. Taste is fruity with long quite sweet aftertaste. Flavors of dark fruits, oak, nuts, plums, apricot. GarrettB (1691) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 6, 2018
March 19th, 2015 - I appeared to have found an older bottle of this, having retrieved it from the basement with a layer of dust signaling some significant aging. That, and the mouthfeel seemed a little dead and gone. But the nose is still rich with deep, dark fig flavors, and some grape and blueberry touches on the side. The flavor has been completely flattened by my inattention, sadly, left to be saccharine sweet and too strong with a limp and pallid carbonation. Luneylane (265) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - DEC 30, 2017
A bottle from l'Apero. Aroma: malt, a little bit sour. Appearance: oxtail soup, tan lacing. Palate: medium bodied and slick, soft carbonation, complex, flavoursome finish. Taste: medium bitter and sweet, well balanced. Vanilla is prominent at the finish, though a bit too much Marmite for my taste. Booze well hidden, approach with caution. Flaska från Belgoklubben. Brun med ljusbrunt skum. Doft av kola och karamell. Söt och rund smak. Oakes (19384) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2017
Bottle, Legacy. Dark amber. Medium head. The aroma is orchard fruit, but with some bubblegum phenols in there as well, and a splash of apple brandy. On the palate, a boozy combination of sugars and orchard fruits, maybe some candied orange peel for nuance. Finishes soft and sweet, though you can still taste the alcohol as well. Decent, but certainly not the more refined beer of its type.

Flaska från Saveur Bieré. Smak och doft av mörk torkad frukt, russin, plommon, karamell, portvin, brunt socker med toner av nötter. Rund och len, fin sötma och fruktighet, fin balans och sötma. Gott! patricks110 (2791) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 28, 2017
Elegant, rich, a tad sweet for me but beautiful overall. Tons of raisin, prune, dried cherrys. The pour is a dark burgundy, auburn and a dense, puffy off white head. The nose is dried fruits, fruit cake, toffee, molasses. Nice body; heavy but soft with mild carbonation. The finish is mildly boozy, light hop bitterness. Earthy, light tobacco, mild floral notes. Good beer overall DavidSvinth (377) - DENMARK - NOV 18, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 Ligner cola.
Dufter gæret, næsten som marmaite.
Smagen er sød og maltet og rigtig fin.

Gusher. Dark brown with nice khaki head that runs away. Lots of sediment. Aroma is licorice, port wine, rich raisin, fresh baked bread. Medium bodied sweet candy sugar followed by a rich malty wave on the first sip. Nutty malt with some sweet dates in the finish. Nice and balanced but to be perfectly honest it not really my thing. Not quite sure where this fits into their range (stronger than the Brune, but not the grand cru). As it opens up it's actually a bit boozy. I enjoy a few dark strong ales, but the style is admittedly not my favorite. This one didn't really convert me either.
