COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewer description : A triple fermented golden premium beer, brewed from a unique process using two different yeasts and an old regional secret. This “Bière de Garde” is refermented in bottle and has rich, copious and persistent foam. With it slightly cloudy aspect, Vivat Triple is of a great aromatic complexity. It delivers very good hope bitterness at the finish. It has been rewarded in 2008, by the most prestigious award for food and drinks’ quality in France: Golden medal at the “Concours agricole de Paris”.

50cl bottle. Pours golden with a lovely lacy head. The nose has custard, gorse maybe with a yeasty background. The taste is confected fruit salade with a sweet cranberry note on the finish. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a long tangy finish. Overall, really interesting beer.

Bottle at Craig’s 271012
Light golden, soft haze, thin white head
Aroma of soft belgian yeast, candy sugars, soft aromatic herbal
Taste of soft belgian fruity yeast esters, hint of banana, candy sugar, fair amount of alcohol though, not well hidden
Palate - medium carb, bit oily. Finish as main flavour, some warming alcohol
Overall - OK not the best tripel I’ve had

In bottle thanks Craig. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma of lemon, candy sugar, caramel and white pepper. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Alcohol is well balanced. Not bad.

Nice bottle. Hazy blond colour, white head. Funky saisonish aroma. Taste is a bit sour, some fruit (grapefruit?), barnyard, "zuurtjes".

Bottle @ home. Aroma has some grapes and faint malt. Flavour is carbonaaaatiooon. Then some dry malt and faint fruits. Meh, way too much carb, better halfway.

pours golden orange with a nice thick foamy head, creamy CO2, lots of active CO2 streams. Sweet malts on the nose. Starts off with a burst of sharp honey sweetness (9/10), floral malts, chamomile, toffee, lemon citrus, mildly hoppy, finishes medium sticky sweet and a very mild bitter malty finish. Medium complexity, med depth, good transitions, good carry, great drinkability. An above average, solid triple. The sweetness gets heavy and weighs on you halfway through.

Bottlled 500ml, clay finish with cork & cage from Carrefour, Coquelles, France. The second I loosened the cage, the cork shot out and foam spread across my wife’s new tablecloth, be careful out there. Gold with humongous white head. Aroma of vanilla essence and fruit bowl, this leads to rather a disappointing flavour, again vanilla, but candy sugar and rice wine seem to come to mind. Plenty of fruity alcohol notes perhaps. A sort of interesting combination, but certainly could have been better.
