Cask at Coeur de Lion, Bath. Pours clear amber with a fine, creamy tan head. Dried berries and toasty malts in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, berries, light dry toffee, mellow leafy bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, lightly sugary malts, toasty leaves, grapes, cherries and berries. Simple but wonderfully sessionable beer. mjs (7778) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 30, 2011
(Cask at Gallows Real Ale Festival 2011) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness, malts and hint of roastedness. Palate was medium bodied. Flavours were malts, yest, sweetness, hops, bitterness and something I really cannot describe but which wasn’t pleasant. Aftertaste had malts, yeast and bitterness. Not my thing. rosenbergh (11949) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 24, 2011
