Gravity at Wellington, Brum. A massive smack of elderflower and gooseberry right off, just like a New Zealand S Blanc! Dry, malty, very bittr with mounds of those delicious gooseberry hops and some astringency, this is a rather extreme beer for the UK and a welcome return to form by Abbeydale.

Cask at the Prince of Wales, Green Tye, Herts. Pours slight hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of fresh floral hop and fruity notes. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, gooseberry, a hint of grape, subtle grass and some floral hops. Taste of lemon, gooseberry, a hint of grape, subtle grass and some floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, floral hop bitterness in the finish. A simple golden ale but lots of lemon, gooseberry and fresh Nelson Sauvin hops. Very sessionable.

Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head.
Nose - citrus and floral.
Taste - more of the same. A green stalky note comes through on the finish.
Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
