Bottle: Thanks Douberd: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium sized creamy ash beige foamy head on top of a deep dark ruby to black colored beer.
Aroma is that of berries, toast, malts, sweat with slight wood, yeast, mocha and fireplace undertones.
Flavours of toffee, roast, malt roast, liquorice, autumnal herba, some bay leaf, sweet coal, some bitters and raisin.
Aftertaste is a mix of roast, smoke, coal, bitters, wood and herbal tones with a bay leaf edge.
Medium carbo, creamy sparkling mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.
Reminds me a bit of a Stout, yet something makes it unbalanced but not terrible... Oh wait, the label says Porter...! Christos (5889) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2013
Bottle 330 ml, from trade with deanso, thanks! ABV 5.5%. Into a snifter glass.
Pours a black beer with a tall and creamy beige head. Average retention, light lacing left on the glass.
Aroma of black and red grapes, very wine-like aroma, brings to mind porto wines. Only 5.5% alcohol but it’s notable on the aroma. Chocolate notes as well.
Taste follows the aroma, mildly sweet at first with the same fortified wine qualities, light roasted malts on the finish and now stronger milky chocolate notes. Mildly bitter aftertaste.
Medium thick body, average carbonation.
Overall very good, best before March 2011 but it has kept very well. Aniela (4215) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 28, 2013

Dark brown with a thin, quick disappearing, non-lacy, fizzy beige head. Smells of caramel and roasted malt, with chocolate and a faint hint of coffee. The sweet chocolate and caramel dominate. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of roasted malt, raisins, molasses, chocolate, and an ashy dry slight berry finish. Simple and easy porter. Dark brown, lasting light brown head. Nice porter with enough coffee and chocolate in it’s taste and an aftertaste that is like a good mocca bonbon. Thanks Secret Sinterklaas ;) jmgreenuk (9980) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 14, 2012
Bottle from ABC Beers Den Haag. Poured a dark brown colour with a slightly reddish hue and a huge frothy tan head. The powerful aroma is of malt and caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with liquorice and dark chocolate. A very tasty beer of which I have consumed many.... just to gauge the consistency of course :-)
