BBB63 (6567) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 27, 2004
At brewery only: Hazy reddish amber hue with small frothy head and good lace. The faint aroma hints of toasted malts, some caramel, floral and grassy hops, hazelnut, orange zest, sea salt, and zesty yeast esters. The taste starts citrusy and mildely hopped. Undertones of toast, nuts and caramel. Salty and bitter finish, but not too big. The mouthfeel is dry, smooth, and lively, very refreshing. Would classify as an Irish Ale but really a hybrid of Scottish and Brown Ales. This beer is the standard quaffable stuff. Good with a meal.
