3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden appearance with thin white head. Clean taste with a slight floral hint to the flavor. Also a light, pleasant bitterness present. Finishes quite clean. Overall refereshing, not particularly exciting but a great pilsner for this time of year.
I don’t like Pilsners. I spent a lot of time in the Czech Republic, and I think I got sick of them. However, this Pilsner was surprisingly delicious. I would say that this one didn’t have as strong of an after taste, and it was somehow lighter and easier on the palate than most Pilsners. potbeerjob (1343) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Bottled. Tucked away as a single in a corner store on Toulouse street run by a very nice Asian women caddy corner to Hotel St. Marie. If I had known its limitedness, I would have boughten all three. A lucky find. Clear yellow with white head. Aroma is sweet citrus, mostly lemon. Flavor is also sweet citrus but with big floral notes also. A crisp brew easily poundable (which I did by the Hotel pool) and was the best beer I had by Abita during my stay...this and the Andygator. go get this beer if you can. williamherbert (1544) - Syracuse, New York, USA - NOV 7, 2009
A hazy bright golden color. Half a finger of foamy head. A classic pilsner look.
The smell is a pleasant flowery aroma, with bitter Euro/German hops. Doesn’t have the too-bitter chlorine smell that afflicts too many pilsners. Really crisp.
The taste has a nicely bitter but diverse hop flavor. The bitter is there, but so is a nice flowery, estery hop. Like a very hoppy pale ale. The malt does have the characteristics of a pale, but steps aside wisely to play straight man to the hop. This is a really good flavor; slight grapefruity finish.
The feel is fizzy and bubbly like champagne. Very nice. Supports the effervescent flavor. It’s a superior, flavorful pislner. Lots of diverse tastes. Wonderful finish. To me this is what a pilsner should always aspire to. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 1, 2009
Shared with the boys for Cellar Reduction #3. Easy drinking session brew. Clear golden pour with decent white head. Nice saaz hop profile. Classic for style. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 1, 2009
Bottle with Butters and sixfootsix at the 3rd Cellar Reduction. Pours a white head with some lacing with a clear golden body. Smells of sweet malt and hay. Tastes of malt and a little earthy with a good balance and finish. Good session beer.

Bottle. Pilsner straw body white head, mild sun fruits, spiced, floral, finish is neat. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - APR 14, 2008
Pours gold with a white head. Smells of sweet caramel, touches of apples, some dry straw and hay. Tastes of sweet malt, lightly fruity, some peppery splashes and a semi dry finish. TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 9, 2008
Pours golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, lightly herbal. Smells close to a noble hop, but there’s a bit of hop fruitiness. Taste is herbal, notes of cookie, bready malt, light hop resins and toasted malt. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Probably the best beer from Abita. I cant find my self enjoying this too much. Its too thin and the malts are uninspiring. for a special anniversary ale, its not too good nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2008
The aroma has corn malt, and floral hops. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall it’s so so at best.
