Hazy dark amber color, medium off white head. Aroma of caramel and light spice. Taste is similar with a hint of fruit. Plain. bhensonb (15190) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Bottle from BevMo. Dark orange copper color with a multifinger, fine beige head. Aromas of yeast, spice and roasted caramel. Medium plus body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is malty, clove spicey and a bit veggie/herby. Though not exactly dry, it is somewhat astringent. Finishes dryish, with malt hanging around, and seems a bit mapley or dark fruity. The funniest part, I think there is funk turning up after awhile. Maybe it’s some kind of herb. Overall though it’s decently tasty and complicated.
