From tap at Elixir. Pours cloudy dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild breadish malty. Malty and light breadish base flavour. Subdued hops presence. Dry caramelish to breadish finish. Smooth mouthfeel and malty flavoured finish too.

A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with a somewhat sharp hop note. The flavor is very light with hints of malt, and a somewhat stronger note of hops. A boring beer, can only be used for refreshment, even on a humid Danish summer day.

Bottled. Amber colour with a small white head, that leaves slight lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some floral and wooden hoppyness along with mild herbal notes. Flavour is sweet maltyness, caramel, crystal and some mild biscuity notes along with some floral, grassy and mild fruity hops as well. Smooth and easy to drink.

Bottled. Amber coloured with rich, firm creamy head. Light pine needle aroma. Light bodied and rather sweet with just a light touch of resiny hop flavour. The maltiness is clean and hard, and the finish only provides a short sting of bitterness.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2006
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours amber with a slight haze and a small, off-white head. Somewhat fat, caramelish nose. Light and watery body with vague notes of caramel malt. Basically no bitterness. Thin indeed. 250606

Bottle, 12cl. A lightly hazy dark golden beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma has some spent grains and pears, a generic fruityness and some caramel. Hints of bread dough too. It’s quite carbonated, thin to medium bodied and semi-dry. Caramel, bread dough, grains and a little fruityness in the flavor, very low on bitterness, but at least some shows up towards the end. Not a very pleasant beer, but after a few sips I sort of got used to it. Wouldn’t want to drink much of it though. 130829

Bottle @ home. Clear amber color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, toasted malts, light caramel, a slight fruity hint, lightly bitter. Average body and carbonation.
