Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Very slight, sweet aroma. Taste is of sweet malts, with some spices and a slight taste of apples. Didn’t really like it very much.

Sugary bock malt body with a fizzy finish with a bit of honey. A pretty simple doppelbock.

Bottle at Royal House in New Orleans. Malt dominates the aroma with some yeast underneath.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2017 Poured from bottle into a pint glass. Clear golden/amber. Finger or so of head at pour, which quickly dissipates. Smells like beer. Haha. First beer I've had of this style, so I had no idea what to expect. Tastes malty and the higher alcohol content is noticeable, albeit only slightly. Solid beer. Might come back for a re-review in the future once I'm more familiar with this type of beer. Cheers.

Pours clear gold with a minor white head. Aroma is malt. Taste is... not the greatest. Sweet doppel malt. No depth. A little backend bitter. Slight funk. Middling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle pours a clear golden/amber with small off-white head and hardly any lacing. Aroma is not strong, but mostly grainy and bready malts, with a touch of molasses. Taste is sweet and occasionally sickeningly sweet. Body is medium with slight carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. The name and the label are the best part of this beer. I found it in a New Orleans restaurant and won’t look for it again.

pours a clear rich gold with a medium creamy white head. Light malt aroma. Kind of a different, sweetish taste. A little bitter comes in on the finish and linger. Different, not a bock, but not bad.

12 fl.oz. bottle from BierPost. A clear golden beer with a huge good lasting off-white head. Strong pale malty aroma, hints of grainy malt, sweet malt. Taste of strong malt, pale malt, mild sweetness, sharp grainy, a bit dry.

bottled - clear golden color. Not much aroma or flavor at the start. Gets slightly sweet as it warms a bit. Just ok.
