This one was a grower. I wasn’t immediately impressed, but started drinking it by the bucket by the time the Christmas Ale rolled around. Has a light, malty flavor with a hint of caramel. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - JAN 8, 2009
Pours orangish light amber, but its cloudy and has a tall head thats nice. Aroma of sweet citrus and orange. Flavor is balanced with wheat malt and hops and has some citrus sweetness added. Mouthfeel is over carbonated a little bit but not too bad. Bite lingers on the tongue in the finish. A very appropriate beer for the time of year. dwyerpg (6182) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Smells and looks fine. This a pretty good oktoberfest. Not very grainy, sits well in the stomach. Good, just not all that interesting. like most in this style. Drake (13737) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2011

Nice amber color with a hint of orange (color not flavor). Tastes great. All of the Abita's that I've had have been clean, crisp and refreshing - must be the spring water. Good stuff! jimmiec (122) - Louisiana, USA - SEP 19, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2010 12-oz bottle Marcello’s, Lafayette, LA - Aroma: low sweet, mod toasted (malt) Appearance: orange-red, clear, white head; Flavor: mod sweetness and finishes dry, toasted (malt), low bitter (hops) Mouthfeel: smooth, mod body and carbonation; Overall: smooth, nice malty beer. ppcpilot (21) - Port Allen, Louisiana, USA - NOV 3, 2002
Barely amber, ok head that lasts longer than expected, light lacing. Light hoppy aroma. Flavor is nice balance between mostly malt and a mild hoppy finish. Bubbly and slightly creamy on the palate. Overall, a nice brew I would order out with dinner to complement the food without filling you up. Would go good with an oyster poboy. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Pours copper with a thin tan head. Smells of caramel, some light citrus, earthy. Tastes of sweet caramel with a vegetal finish. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 8, 2012
A nice Marzen. A hint of caramel malt, roasted malt, toast and spice.
The finish is mildly chocolate and floral.
