3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
I usually don’t care for IPA bitterness, so I am reluctant to even open one. Looking at the other ratings, I understand why I like this one, because it does not really qualify as an IPA according to many raters. The aroma has the hop overtones of an IPA, but taste is much sweeter and does not smack you across the face with grapefruit. The finish also lacks that IPA after taste that hangs around seemingly forever. Apologies to you IPA fans, but this is to my liking.

I got this bottle in a trade with DLucky. Thanks Dan!
It pours a nice clear orange gold with a 2 finger head of foam.
The smell has good notes of citrus and floral hops with some caramel malt thrown in the give some sweetness. I like the nose.
The taste is at first very bitter with the citrus and floral hops but mid palate, I get some good caramel sweetness along with some earthy malt goodness. It finishes with both some bitterness and some sweetness and the aftertaste is mostly bitter. I'd be tempted to call this an English Style IPA.
A nice brew here. Good medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation, a pretty solid balance between the flavours and quite drinkable. Nice job Abita!
Btw, the head retention was quite good and the lacing was as well. Palme (4908) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2017
0.355l bottle @ Tribeca Tavern, shared with The Girlfriend. A crystal clear one. The girlfriend complained that I had to close one eye to see the clarity on this one by that indicating that I have had enough tonight. Anyhow, as mentioned its a crystal clear one. Hard to see the color. Goldenish? Think so? The head is sidesticking and soft lacing while off-white in color. Soft fruity nose. Red fruits. Not too much more really. Dark peachy in a way, orange zest bitter. Soft birch, a little bit of old citrus. Not a really memorable one, but its still a decently tasty easy drinking IPA. 15.06.2015 BeerRenter76 (1061) - Texas, USA - MAY 9, 2017
Originally rated on 12/29/08. Jockamo pours a copper body with average carbonation, very little lace. Aroma was nice... at first, sweet floral aroma that got a tiny bit funky as it warmed. Flavor was o.k. but it pretty much just bitter. Overall it was better than i expected but its a little above average IPA. il_vosa (23) - Torino, ITALY - DEC 10, 2016
Pours with an amber-brown colour and a frizzy head. The taste is good but not so hoppy, not a real IPA. An average beer. Bricks (1166) - Delaware, USA - NOV 14, 2016
Great reddish brown color.. not much head. Smell is a bit malt heavy, but not offputting. Taste is above average.. more APA than IPA.

Pours a golden amber color with big fizzy head. Aromas of fruit and citrus peel and some piney notes. Flavors of tropical fruits and some piney hops. Itzjerm (3239) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAY 6, 2016
This is an IPA? Not very hoppy. Malt forward but not hoppy. Toast and light hop. Basic brew. Pass.

Bottiglia 35 cl. Bel colore color ambra, schiuma fine e persistente.
Bottle - pours deep orange with a short lived head. Aroma is resin hop and malt. Taste isn’t as hoppy as expected. Dry quite smooth orange citrus finish.
