Not a great wheat ale. The lemon and other citrus flavors are certainly there, but they’re understated and there is nothing of the viscous mouthfeel I like in my wheat ales.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 10/22/2013. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy bright golden color with a 2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, wheat, bread, light honey, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of lemon, hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength, a bit perfumey. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, wheat, bread, cracker, floral, grass, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon zest, orange zest, wheat, bread, cracker, floral, grass, light pepper, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of lemon zest, malt, hop, and yeast ester notes; with no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a slightly creamy, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a pretty good wheat ale. Good balance and robustness of flavors; and very smooth a crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle pours with a gold body that has a slight haze and supports a thin bright white head. The mild aroma has candied lemon, mild sugary malts and a wheat sensation. The taste starts off with grassy lemon grass that has an odd mix of wheat and sweet lime hard candy going along with it. In the background is a faint saccharin chemical sweetener sensation. Not too bad though.

Bottle. Sweet tart lemon and wheat malt aroma. Hazy yellow with a large white head. Tart lemon, lemon zest, and wheat malt flavor, with a bare hint of bitterness in the finish. Light body, moderate carbonation. I was expecting much worse, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Bottle from Bu’s Café: Poured a glowing neon yellow hue topped with a thick fluffy white head. Aroma is faint yet does have the smell of citrus and lemon zest and squeezed lemon juice. The flavor is mild but has an upfront taste of artificial lemon zest. Reminds me of the flavor of eating lemon peels.

Pours a clear yellow on tap with dissipating white head. Aroma is wheat and slight lemon tartness. Tate is sweet with a grainy wheat background. Meh.

Refrigerated brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy yellow with medium frothy head. Lemon aroma, well carbonated, thin body, and thick big bubble lacing. Taste is herbal/grassy hops, some lemon, with dryer finish. Doesn’t do it for me.

Bottle from the mix a six at Publix. Pours a hazy yellow with medium white fizzy head. Aroma of artifical citrus and wheat. Taste is some tangy lemon citrus and weak wheat. This was a bit thin and overall not much going on. I would have sworn that I was going to like this beforehand, but afterwards this is certainly known not to be my thing.

Hazy yellow with a large white head.
Aroma is lemonade.
Taste is water, lemon....
Dull....very dull.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a pale gold color with a small white head. Weak nose with a hint of lemon and wheat. Rather watery on the tongue with stale and dull lemon and wheat notes. Really not a whole lot else here. Light body, weak finish. Pass on this weak citrusy wheat brew.
