bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear golden amber with a smooth white head cover, lace slides back into the beer. Aroma is nice floral malt, appealing and reminiscent of an earlier time. Taste is thin malt that adds a jolt of carbonation an the swallow, lingering for only a short time. Not much there, but for a light beer, it is well ahead of all the "big-box" guys.

Gold-yellow appearance. Big head that dies quickly. Surprisingly fairly complex aroma: almost like a wheat; some lemon; yeast; minor hops. As for being "the smoothest, most flavorful light beer you will ever taste," Im sorry, Abita, but no. There is hardly any flavor, which was a letdown after the interesting aroma. While I would certainly take this over most other pale lagers, I can also think of other pale lagers with a similar light calorie profile (hello, Harp Lager and Pacifico Clara) that have more flavor.

Draft at the source. Slightly hazy pale yellow color, fizzy white head. Aroma of light straw. Taste is watery straw. It is what it is.

Bottle at home. Pours clear pale yellow with a small, frothy white head, dissipating to large bubbles with light lacing. Aroma is meal and cereal malt, light corn and rice with spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours with a straw gold color and thin white heads that dissipates quickly. Faint malt aroma. Non- offensive flavor that'd be nice after mowing the lawn on a 90 degree day.

355ml Pours a pale straw, with a white head. Rather neutral aroma, corn, cardboard, citrus. Dry, light bodied, low bitterness, balanced CO2. Neutral taste, citrus, cardboard, hints of hops? Bland, but not faulty. (2014-01-31)

Draft. Golden with small white head. Aroma of corn, sweetness, and grain. Light body, some grain and sweet notes. A bit one dimensional but I guess what you would expect from a pale lager.
