It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. It’s wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise it’s great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

Wonderful beer, full of malty flavors that blend perfectly with the pecans. The combination of a malt heavy beer and nuts almost creates a coffee cake like flavor that is really something special.

Hands down one of my top 2 favorite beers. I wait for it the entire year. The color is deep brownish red. The aroma is fresh roasted pecans with the hint of sweet fall leaves. The flavor is nutty, rich and well balanced. I can't do this beer justice with words. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light. Flavorful, but mild with a progressive robust nutty aftertaste. Lower calories is a plus.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours copper color with a off white head. Taste pecan, Carmel, sweet. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pours hazy amber with thin quick diminishing off white head. Aroma is nutty sweet malt. First taste is sweet but very well balanced. The nuts come through in the finish but very mild. Like an amber nut ale or really light brown ale. Not true to the style but I really like this one.

Both bottle and tap available here. Delicious pecan flavor, not too sweet but very nutty. One of the better seasonals from Abita.

Hints of pecan aroma, nutty, hay upon the pour. Minimal head that lingers for a little while, but eventually disappates. Color is an amber orange-brown.... like pumpkin ales, perfect for the Fall season mood! Crystal clear in appearance. Taste portrays pecans quite nicely and is evident in the medium body and oily texture/aftertaste of this brew. Flat carbonation with a long, nutty finish. I would recommend it.

Very strong pecan nut flavor. Clear, no head. Delicious. Low carbonation. Light body.

Not a bad nut brown ale at all. The pecans are quite prominent, and there's almost a roastiness to the flavor too. Not sure if it's due to the pecans, but the mouthfeel is quite slick. Good. B. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer reminds me of walking through a field of multi-colored trees in the autumn air. It starts with a silky off-white head and a glass full of caramel and amber hues. Autumn smells such as maple brown sugar and candied nuts come to mind on the nose with some nutmeg spice mixed in as well. The slightly sweet, light-bodied taste is not as intense as the aromas might initially suggest, but the beer has a nice carbonation to it, good hop structure which adds balance, and finishes crisply and refreshingly. Definitely one of the better autumn seasonal ales I’ve had.
