12 oz. bottle. Okay. My brief sojourns through the south and southwest have shown me many pecan producers trying to use up excess production: BBQ smoking wood, mulch, etc. Now this. Well. Pours slightly darker than amber, and a little hazy. A little too much oil to sustain many bubbles. Smell malty, with a backing of light hardwood indeed. Taste does indeed have a little nuttiness. I keep trying not to bring up more “woody” descriptions, but they’re there nonetheless. An extra bit of spiciness and even nut butter. I am straining to quantify the description, but this an “odd ingredient” beer that makes good use of its oddity instead of going for shock value.
Was not that good. Tasted like a weak Oktoberfest. Almost had a flat feel as well.

Draft pour- pours dark copper with a frothy sticky head. Little or no aroma. Bitter, malty yet kinda flat in flavor as an aftertaste. Very mediocre. laurenlm (6) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 31, 2017 does not count
Wonderful beer, full of malty flavors that blend perfectly with the pecans. The combination of a malt heavy beer and nuts almost creates a coffee cake like flavor that is really something special. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2016
Pours a medium brown. Aromas of wheat bread, caramel, and a touch of something metallic. Flavor is malty/metallic without a lot of character. darbeer75 (1112) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - FEB 23, 2016
Aroma: lightly sweet and malty; Appearance: in bottle - did not actually see; Taste: unremarkable, but in a good way; easy drinking and malty; Palate: medium, sweet finish; Overall: nice and boring; would buy again.

Free mostly malts with a slight hint of pecans. The deep amber color. Taste mostly malts some grain slight slight pecan hit in the foam. Body almost flat for the carbonation. Where is pecan beer I’ve ever had. Like your other stuff maybe this one was expired not my favorite. Sirmixsomewhat (266) - Paoli, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2015
I was a nervous excited to try this, knowing I don’t love pecan flavored things, but that this couldn’t possibly taste like only pecans, and I was relieved to see that it didn’t. There’s enough of a hint to know it’s a strange brew of sorts, but plenty of your typical beer ingredients to remind you this is just a fun experiment that you’d want to drink again. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Clear light amber. Fluffy white head. Nutty. Toast. Caramel. Semi dry. Pleasant modest sweetness. Nutty, toasty finish. No bitterness. Fine. geologyguy (1686) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - NOV 6, 2015
Smell is weird on first blush, different though...pecan and sweetness....good! Taste is less sweet and good, flat on carbonation though...still not bad...but one dimentional on flavor
