I had this on my honeymoon in N. O. It seemed like an interesting beer but not much taste. The other Abita’s are far better.

Man.. it’s drinkable, but overall it just seems to me like someone melted a popsicle in a coors... So-so.

This is a cloudy brew with a purple tint to it. Has a raspberry flavor to it and is really nothing special. Over all not a very good brew.

taste like raspberries, not very good. pours out not like anything i would have expected given the fact that its a fruit beer. it looks similar to a hefe. alright, but not what i was anticipating (if anything). sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught.

Yuck. I had to try it being a turbo dog fan, but pretty unimpressive attempt by Abita here. A little too fruity for me. Aftertaste led me to get through this one in as few drinks as possible.

draft at saucer: very little aroma hints of raspberry. the pour was golden with hints of pink. the taste was sweet raspberry some maltiness slightly tart. overy all not that bad but i am not really into fruit beers.

A nice little wheat beer, with the raspberries and all....but...really wheres the raspberries? I love raspberries and I just didn’t really find them in this beer...I don’t want an overwhelming artifical raspberry taste, but at least something palpable

TheFnTexan (14) - Texas, USA - OCT 4, 2004
Enjoyable wheat beer with a smooth, pleasant taste. The fruit taste isn’t overdone, and the beer is very pretty when poured.

punkeedo (498) - Covington, Louisiana, USA - OCT 2, 2004
Man, this stuff is pretty freakin’ awful. It smells and tastes like grape soda or something similary to it. Definitely doesn’t taste like a good beer. Stay the heck away from this stuff.

Jazzy (11) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 30, 2004
Well , being originally from New Orleans I tend to want to defend this beer, b/c i’ve been to their brewery and know people that have worked there, but alas, I agree with the folks in this list... It is a bit of a let down b/c: Yes, it is a little flat. Yes, the berry flavor is too subtle (would rather be drinking a fruit soda pop), Yes, the label is better than the taste. Yes, the finsih has alot to be desired. In conclusion: Get Turbo Dog, for one last try for a decent Abita Brewery Beer. Maybe if everyone sends them our comments, they’ll work on the recipe and improve it... LOL
