Scopey (14219) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2014
Bottle in a random Cajun/Creole restaurant in Houston. It pours reddish amber with a small off-white head. The nose is sweet raspberry, wheat, earth and hint of spice perhaps....but not a whole lot. The taste is sweet, raspberry, doughy, caramel, wheat, banana?, light bitterness and a touch of toast with a short, dryish finish. Light to medium body and average carbonation. Pretty one-dimensional. Straight forward sweet fruit beer. A bit artificial feeling. Not for the likes of me....

(12oz bottle) Lightly hazed amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, artificial berry, some tin (that fades as it warms), cereal. Taste is medium sweet, artificial berry, light metallic. Light-medium body with some syrup.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy rosey color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes very quickly. Barely got anything on the nose but a faint rasberry. The taste is a weak rasberry with a sweet finish, very watery. This was a weak fruit beer from Abita.

DSG (13956) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - SEP 21, 2012
Bottle. Beer of the month club. 4.2%. Good-looking hazy orange-amber color with a medium white head. Nice aroma of fresh raspberries. Dry-ish flavor with light sweetness, a bit of graininess, a hint of cardboard, wheat, light tartness, some rapsberries and a drier finish with light bitterness. Rather light-bodied. Quite refreshing and better than I expected.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, chemical powdered fruit extracts, light acidic points. In mouth, a light fruity wheat with light lactic points, summer quaffer, boring. Bottled at ROC Empire Brewfest, Feb. 19 2011.

Bottle. Weak wheat taste and the fruit comes through as just a sourness. Not real fruity. Drinkable, but I dont think this is as good as it used to be.

Cherry color with no head. Raspberry aroma and flavor. Also, a bit sour in the flavor. Flat on the palate.

Dogbrick (12749) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 24, 2003
Pours a light and murky amber color with a medium off-white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is raspberries of course, but really nothing else. It might have something to do with the fact that I was building a deck in almost 90 degree temperatures, but I found this to be pretty easy to drink. Light bodied and very crisp, and fortunately the raspberry flavor is not as overwhelming as it is in other beers of this type. Clean finish. Nothing award-winning in my book but a passable summer beer.
