Abita Seersucker Summer Pils is crisp and cool like its namesake. A traditional pilsner, this brew has a full bodied malt flavor and hop bitterness with a light golden color. It is made with Pilsner and Carapils malts and hopped with German Tradition and German Spalt hops.

WHY?? I ask myself, Why do I keep trying stuff from this brewery? Guess it is because I find them on the singles rack and hope that one day I will find something good. Today was not that day. Another rancid foul tasting brew that is just all wrong. Still wondering how this brewery can keep missing it. Think it might be the water because surely the malts and hops are not giving it that bad taste. Well unless they are using molded malts and hops, but who would be so dumb to do that. Got half way through this and poured the rest out. Just couldnt finish it.

12 oz bottle pours lightly hazy but without sediment in the bottle. The pale golden body is topped by a fine, durable white head that leaves lots of lacing. Hoppy aroma with hints of lemons and baked bread. The flavor follows, but less lemony. Its moderately strong for style. Medium-light body with a fine, dry finish.

Pours slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick porcelain head. Aroma delivers grassy, malty, hay and subtle fruity tones - quite different from other pilses I have tried. Flavor has the fresh malt typical of a pilsner, but an overtone of grassy hops, as well as pear, apple and hay notes, almost more an IPA than a pils. An IPP? :D Mouthfeel presents fairly firm body, good fizz, and a finish that is more hoppy than malty and offers a grassy undertone.

Floral hop aroma that is blamed with a straw body and a bready malt. Refreshing Pilsner.

Bottle - Pours a pale gold with white head. Notes of hay, light lemon, and toast. First sip is mild citrus and a bready hint, followed by a flora taste, and a bitter hops finish that is a crisp smack, but not overpowering.

Bottle from Kroger. Hazy straw-orangish with a white head. Aroma of citrus, honey, hay, and flowers. Tastes like hay with some fruit and a nice solid bitterness. Light-medium bodied, crisp, dry, and finishing moderately long and bitter. Rather nice pils Abita.

Think of a refreshing beer that youd enjoy after an 8 hour day in the sun cutting your 12 acres of lawn with an old fashioned motor-less lawn mower, your yard looks like a golf course. You sit down to acknowledge the beauty you have brought into this world and your beautiful spouse wearing next to nothing (see this shit, totally PC as fuck) brings you a tall cold glass of refreshing, straw coloured liquid, this beer usually suits that liquid in this circumstance; if it doesnt, you need to differentiate between drinking beer and a golden shower. Anyways; refreshing, low alcohol beer for those really hot days. Nothing fancy, far from crap.

Aroma: cereal and bread-like; better than average pilsener; Appearance: light golden pour with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: pretty lacking; somewhat crisp but not much behind it; Palate: light bodied with long, bready finish; Overall: about as expected, which is not much. Would not buy again.

Poured a golden color with a white head. Aroma was of grass and pale malt. Flavor similar, light butter and astringency. Not great.

appearance: clear light yellow, short and fizzy white head, light lacing. aroma: lemongrass, white toast, cracked pepper. taste: grainy and crackery, with a bit of honeyed sweetness and a good dose of grassy, fresh-feeling and peppery hops. finish: clean and crisp, nice bright feeling lingers. notes: A very pleasant surprise. Wonderful pils. Draught at the brewpub, New Orleans trip 2016.
