A murky yellow color with a purplish tint and a diminishing white head. The aroma contains some lemons, biscuit, raspberries, and alcohol. The flavor has quite a bit of citrus sourness up front and a hint of raspberries on the back end with some bread notes showing up. Alcohol can be detected in the finish. Overall this is basically Purple Haze on steroids. Its not bad. jgb9348 (6588) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 16, 2016
Hazy orange and copper coloured body with a smallish two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of raspberries, yeast, bread, fruit, alcohol and a lot of sugars - very nice, with the raspberries showing just as much as the purple haze. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malt and yeast flavours with some raspberries and other fruits noticeable. Sugars hit towards the end with caster sugar, honey and a bit of fruit-based sugars as well. Aftertaste is relatively straight-forward with the yeast, malt and a bit of raspberries showing through. Overall, a good beer that is more of a fruit beer than a Tripel, but this shows promise and is definitely recommended for anyone who likes Purple Haze. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Fair Lakes (Fairfax), Virginia on 16-February-2016 for US$3,99 sampled at our hotel in Langhorne, Pennsylvania on 15-October-2016 for our oldest daughter’s fourth birthday - Happy Birthday Claire! appearance: cloudy gold, short and creamy white head that seems to have just a tiny hint of purple to it. aroma: scads of raspberry, hint of grassy hops and cracked wheat. taste: very sweet, with tons of sweet and tart raspberry, hint of blackberry too, with crackery malt notes and some white pepper with grassy hops. finish: lingering fruity sweetness, but still in balance with the sturdy base. notes: The normal version can be totally fine on a hot day, if not spectacular. This was actually quite, quite good. Almost felt like a strong Belgian ale. Bottle shared with Tom, Ted, and Dan at the brewpub; New Orleans trip 2016.

Not a big fan of Purple Haze and this isn’t much of an improvement. Raspberry notes are a little off and there’s just not enough beeriness. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2016
Golden amber pour with a quick dissipating head. Light fruit aromas with a touch of yeast. Flavor is light malt with hints of fruit, kinda thin.

Pours a cloudy golden color. Even though it has a high abc (8%), the alcohol is well hidden. Nice hoppy flavor with the added sweetness of raspberries. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2016
Poured from the tap into a snifter glass. The appearance is a murky golden color with a large white head. The aroma is slightly malt and alcohol fueled. The taste is a mild heavy alcohol flavor with some malt and bread. A really good beer. Ratm22 (13) - - MAY 25, 2016
Fresh off the 2016 draft this unique style of a fruited and wheated golden lager is top notch. Great color thick with mild yeast tones. Small raspbery notes, not sweet. 8% ABV and smooth. Draft was so fresh and bright. bubblehouse (1624) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAY 15, 2016
Missed the mark. Very carbonated and really sweet. Just wasn’t for me. Wouldn’t drink again. Itzjerm (3175) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Sweet fruity and nice flavors. Nose is fresh fruit. Taste is fruit as well. Alcohol is well hidden.
