COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The shotgun house is a New Orleans classic. Fire a shotgun through the front door and it will pass out the back and never touch a wall...or so the story goes. Shotgun Double IPA is wall-to-wall hops with plenty of pale malt. Hopped in the brewhouse with multiple varieties including Amarillo and Centennial, then dry hopped with Simcoe, Citra and Cascade. A blast of intense flavors and aromas of pine, citrus and tropical fruit.

Draft Taproom 6/1/17. Aroma is burnt honey, caramel, pine, licorice. Flavor is heavy, thick resin and licorice. Something about this I really dont like.

22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body that supports a dirty white head. The aroma offers up aged pine hops blended in with sweet malts, floral hops and a sliver of caramel. The taste delivers floral hop bitterness, a spicy woodiness, pine like hops and then a thin citrus hoppiness. As it warms and as my taste buds get into sync with what’s going on here. Not bad.

Dank fruit, ripe orange tropical flavors. Cloudy dark orange pour from 22oz bottle at Lakehouse. Not bad, didn't have high expectations.

Bottle. Big frothy pour, orange-tinged Amber with a massive top. Sweet citrus bloom dominates the nose, but it drinks with a spicy almost peppery kick. (#6265, 8/7/2016)

Pours a hazy, yellow-gold, with good-sized, lasting head. Aroma is full of tropical and citrus fruits. Flavors include citrus and tropical fruit, a healthy helping of hop bitterness, and more than a little sweetness (though not cloying or heavily boozy). This is a really well-balanced and tasty double IPA.

650 ml. bb 09/08/2016. Foggy, caramel-copper body has a lasting disc of foam. Nose is earthy potato, toffee, spicy pollen, resin, toast and a bit of citrus zest. Tastes the same. Medium body has a smooth, medium carbonation and a nice dry slant.
