Bottle from Pacific Liquor: Created a frothy foamed head while the liquid was a hazy faded yellow hue. In the nose, a bold scent of grassy hops and grained malts that smell like hay dominate the aroma. The flavor is simple with a notice of grained barley malt and grassy European hops that make this a strong and standard in the pilsner category. Eberndt (235) - - OCT 20, 2013
22oz bottle a few years ago. Was pretty mild tasting and refreshing. A bit bland overall from what I remember. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 23, 2013
22 oz bottle. BB 09/10/13. (Stein’s Deli) New Orleans, LA.Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - SEP 13, 2013
Clear pale golden colour with a small frothy white head.
Yeast, grassy hops and wheaty malt in the aroma.
Yeast, wheat and grassy hops in the flavour. Pilsnery. Not bad but a bit boring. But absolutely for a good cause. Thumbs up!
13 sept 2013, bottle. Very pale yellow, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is straw and sweet malt. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Actually a great pils. Good light lemon hops and some malt sweetness.

22 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 10/30/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, bread, cracker, wheat, light banana, pepper, clove, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt, hop, and yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, bread, pepper, light banana, clove, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, wheat, banana, cracker, bread, clove, pepper, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance of malt, hop, and yeast ester flavors; with solid robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pilsner style. All around well balanced malt, hop, and yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle pours clear light gold with persistent head. Aroma of earth, corn, and malt. Taste on the sweet side on the front with a slight bitter finish. Notes of earth and citrus hops. Mostly light malt. Enjoyable pilsner. Dustonian (2) - - AUG 28, 2013 does not count
Light color. Smooth taste. Good for the percentage of alcohol. Some koneybgoes to charity so that’s good. Pretty delicious. BeerandBlues2 (13304) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 19, 2013

Flavor is malty with medium hops and bitterness, a clean lager character and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation. shigadeyo (3739) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 1, 2013
12/16/2010: Abita Save Our Shore (SOS) - A Charitable Pilsner (unfiltered Weizen Pils made wwith Pilsner and Wheat malts; hopped and dry hopped with Sterling and German Perle hops)... Aroma: Honey and wheat with a splash of grassy, floral, and lightly citrusy hops. Appearance: Cloudy, pale gold color topped with a cratered head of off-white foam; ample carbonation; very nice lacing - delicate and fine bubbles with "legs". Flavor: Mildly sweet honey maltiness followed by a moderate level of spicy and floral bitterness; spicy finish with a good level of lingering bitterness; alcohol is not aggressive. Palate: Medium to medium-full; very smooth; filling. Overall: A little soft, but very drinkable; the pairing of the wheat beer characteristics and spicy hop bitterness is nice; the little bit of sweetness that’s there doesn’t detract from the overall style; quite nice for the price.
