Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as theyre picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Bottle to glass. Strawberry is strong in aroma, clean, not much else. Taste is light grass and strawberry, touch of Soapyness. Very easy drinking. Minimal carbonation and minimal head. Nothing special, but its a Good simple spring beer.

Strawberry, pils, and unpleasant puke acid in the aroma. Strawberry and pils flavor. A little watery, and then weak in the finish also. Pils and strawberry is somewhat awkward as a combo. Drinkable, and the elements separately are fine, but this beer comes up short overall.

The strawberry is evident in nose and flavor, but not overwhelming. Typical lager-esque sweetness to go along with the berry flavor, but not cloying. Clean on the palate, easy going. Very light mouthfeel. Alright for what it is.

On tap. A hazy light gold with a white head. Aroma is distinctly strawberry. Very smooth with flavor of strawberry and a hint of biscuit.

bottled - nice subtle strawberry aroma and flavor. Pale golden color. A good summer afternoon on the deck beer.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a mildly hazy golden orange with fizzy white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of strawberries with mild notes of lager yeast. Tastes like it smells with a medium light-bodied mouthfeel. Better than I expected.

12oz can poured to pint glass. Loads of brilliant white head that lingers for some time. Moderate lacing. Smells mildly of artificial strawberry flavoring. Straw colored and looks a lot like most American adjunct lagers. Mild Tangy sweet strawberry flavor with little else. I used to like this when it was still a seasonal item and was still flavored with fresh first harvest Louisiana strawberries. Not the case anymore. A nice novelty for the light beer drinker but not much here otherwise. So sad........ Cheers!

12oz bottle of the worst beer of 2015....so far. Poured an okay looking dirty straw body with a foamy average sized head. Aroma/flavor of 3 things....rotting strawberries, dusty old grains, and vomit. This beer is atrocious.

Initial taste is full of strawberry. Very sweet with a held back taste of hops.

12oz bottle - Fruit beers vary wildly in their approach to the fruit thats being showcased. Some are extremely fruit forward with a jammy, fruit fruit aroma and flavor and others are extremely pedestrian with barely any fruit noticeable. This beer falls towards the lower end of the fruit spectrum, and seemed very restrained. It was clean, somewhat refreshing, and the strawberries did show up in the flavor...but they reminded me dried strawberries. I think I have a few female friends that might enjoy this.
