Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Bottle. The pour was a cloudy medium golden yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white pillowy head that receded slowly down to a thick film with a medium collar and had excellent sheets of streaky lacing. The aroma was pretty basic with the scent of strawberries almost overpowering everything else, but I did notice a bit of grain malts and a mild sweaty yeast. The taste was mildly sweet and had a light malty feel with a hint of strawberry and a mild touch of grain throughout. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with a mildly bitter and slightly fruity aftertaste. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation. Overall a smooth easy to drink Fruit Lager with a nice low ABV. This is a brew that is refreshingly fruity and would be great on a hot summer’s day...

12 oz. bottle shared with Leslie. Pour was light golden. Aroma of strawberry, fruit, grain. Taste was mild sweet, light strawberry, berry, medicinal.

Pours a cloudy, golden color. About half finger white head. Okay retention, okay lacing. Very, very carbonated.

Aroma is caramel, strawberry jam, and wheat bread. It’s one ingredient short of a sandwich.

Taste is sweet, sweet tart, strawberry. Wheat bread.

Mouthfeel is light, crisp and dry. Super carbonated, so its prickly, almost spicy. Tart, and sweet.

Overall it’s pretty good. I’d drink it if offered, I would recommend it over some. Glad I tried it.

Hazy amber/gold color; Light to medium body; Aroma of malt, fruit/strawberry, & some caramel; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel, and fruit/berries; Strawberries flavor is fairly subdued - but not bad overall.

My wife is really liking this beer so I had to try one. Nice and clean lager with strawberry. I think it’s prety tasty.

Nice light lager with medium strawberry flavor. Not my normal preference but a solid enjoyable light beer.

Clear light golden with a fluffy white cap. Thick strawberries and cream aroma that’s like delightful ink custard. Brisk crisp lagery backbone on the palate with a slight crackery tone, building up to a pleasant light but sweet strawberries and fresh cream tone. Light but pleasant.

Was looking for a lite beverage to have with heavy sandwich. This was not over powering of the berry note scent but noticed. Flavor was not overly sweet for my liking and no bitterness after. Just something reminding me of other summer refreshing mix of fruit with alcohol.

12 oz bottle. Not really much to say here --- just another attempt to blend fruit and beer which usually goes bad in most cases like this one.

Eh. About what you expect. Too sweet candy strawberry tasting. Still drinkable and fine for bbq beer.
