3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aromas of chocolate, toffee and tobacco with a hint of grassy hops. Great mouthfeel. Very good sweet beer that is also somewhat refreshing. Leaves a sweet taste.
Draft pours a nice deep chestnut with a lasting khaki head. Aroma is subtle, nice, toffee, cocoa. Flavor is medium sweet, toffee and nut malt base, touch of bitter. Medium light feel, crisp, fairly lively feel. Not exciting, but clean and drinkable in the Nawlins heat. TedE (1544) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 1, 2017
355ml bottle into shaker. Pours murky brown with an enormous frothy head. Nose is dark caramel toffee. Medium bodied, smooth texture. Flavour starts sweet then has a lingering bitterness in the finish. Interesting brown ale. Much higher ABV than some English brown ales but just as easy drinking. gyllenbock (10035) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2017
Sample at SBWF 2017. Brownish with a small head. Aroma of light roasted malt, bread, chocolate and some caramel. Similar taste. The body was medium.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2017 Middle of the road brown. Molasses, chocolate, caramel, touch of coffee. Tad thin and minerally. Decent enough. Erzengel (9779) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - AUG 15, 2017
*Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. Dark malts, molasses, still refreshing. Nice brown Ale with hints of roasted hazelnuts, round malts and a nice but smooth bitter hoppy ending. Easy to drink, deep with a full malty fruity roasted body, nice. TheCalebBedford (7) - - AUG 10, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2017 Poured from bottle into pint glass. Very dark brown. Chocolate and coffee are the primary flavors you get from this, as expected. Solid brown, but nothing amazing. anstei (2747) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 7, 2017
Bottle. Pours dark brown. Aroma is strong milky chocolate and toffee, chocolate sauce. Body is rather light and thin, with a strong carbonation and almost no flavours anymore. Disappointing!
