Bottle. Clear copper, thick and ugly, off-white head, little lacing. Aroma malty, raisins, bready, peppery, berries, hint of tobacco. Taste thick, smooth, rather sweet, roasty. Carbonation high, tingling. Bitterness short, medium, roasty. Aftertaste peppery, malty, roasty, bready. Generally good but don't expect any fireworks.

Pours almost clear copper brown with low tanned head. Aromas of phenols, caramel, brown sugar, sweet fruityness, some molasses. Taste has notes of brown sugar, caramel, phenols, sweet fruits, hints of oak, molasses, hints of bananas and spices

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

mariuszek (1554) - Gdynia, POLAND - MAR 11, 2018
Faint aroma of dried fruits, spices and caramel. Same in taste, but a bit empty and flat. And alcohol on finish.

lasage (62) - DENMARK - MAR 4, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2018 Flaske. Klar brun tynd hvidlig skum, meget kulsyre. Malt aroma, brød, trappist. God fyldig smag, malt og en smule sødme. Ganske god trappist.

pauls_hymen (11) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2018
Just ok. Overpriced in the UK. There are better (and cheaper) Belgian dubbels that are far more easy to come by in the UK. A bit too thin and dry for my tastes.

NikosDal (19) - Athens, Chalandri, GREECE - FEB 24, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2018 Brown color with thin creamy head. Fresh aroma. Taste of roasted grains. Balanced sweetness and bitterness. Medium complexity. Overall a fair trappist.

Pours a hazy brown groom the bottle with bubbly tan head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild dark fruits and spicy Belgian esters. Taste follows, light for the abv, but still lots of flavor. Decent.
