Bottle at home or at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Hazy orange to amber color. Floating parts of yeast. Pretty nice smell and taste. Good mouthfeel. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a large, dense white head. Some sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma was bready with some fruity esters and a yeasty earthiness. Flavor was mild caramel and bread, some fruit (cherries and raisins), some yeast, mild bitterness. Mouthfeel was creamy. Alcohol was well hidden. NIce, but nothing terribly special. colour: amber /apple juice
smell: malts, coriander, hops, stingy soury and salty , mild oranges , and maple syrup
taste: honey and malts in the start , next comes in some rock candy and cane sugar, a bit of a smokey skunky taste , herbs and spices , alcohol , ends with a very dry bitter and yeasty taste ... kinda ok ...
(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, orange to amber colour with a firm and slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet bready (cara-)malty aroma with notes of brioche, mildly fruity notes and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malty and bready base with yeasty spice and moderately fruity notes; sweet malt-accented finish with shades of fruits and a shy level of bitterness. Not that Cru-ish. 10.I.11 oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 26, 2010
Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Slightly hazy amber colour with particles floating around, quite a big white foamy head as well. Had a bit of preassure, so it tried to avoid getting drunk, but I was faster this time (due to BBE date in 2009...). Aroma is toffee, mild alcohol, caramel malts, some yeast, and spices. Flavour is quite similar. Very nicely balaced. Long toffeeish and quite sweet malty aftertaste as well as some alcohol.

(Bottled, BBE 09/2010) Big yeast flakes floating around amber beer, with a creamy head on top. Caramely toffee, yeast, faint glue notes in the aroma. Hops mostly gone, if there were any (I don’t mind). Lots of grainy malt, sweetish but lightly oxidized and tart, already feels aged a month after the BBE. Quite nice, actually, with a "real" Belgian Strong Ale and micro feel à la Dolle Brouwers. Quite carbonated, though. 6346 TBone (18105) - Pori, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2010

Dark amber color, steady off-white head, floating yeast particles. Fruity apricot, red currant and hints of white pepper and grains in the nose. Medium to full bodied. Malty and fruity with peach, banana and berries, some alcohol. Anyhow quite one-dimensional for being "a grand cru" brew.
bottle from faroeviking.
gusher. very over presured when opened.

sweet malty and caramelly aroma, slight sourness or woodyness.
