poured a cloudy amber with a medium sized off white head. Mild citrus hop aroma, medium bodied with a nice citrus hop flavor balanced nicely with caramel malt. Not near as hoppy as I like my IPA’s, but still a pretty solid beer. BeerAteHer (384) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - APR 25, 2005
All hops -- Northwestern Hops, omnipresent but not harsh. Well, that’s about all there is to the character of this beer. But the hops hide the 7.1% _extremely_ well. Lou18 (1353) - West Paterson, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2005
Brewtopia ’05. This was ok for an IPA. There was not the over powering hops, but the balance was ok. willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - APR 17, 2005
04.16.05 Brewtopia ’05 Another I’d have never gotten around to buying if not for the fest. Mild aromas emerge from a clear amber pour. Big tan head with much lacing. Bubblegum, orange, chewy. Nice balance, clean finish, lasting bitterness. A pretty standard west coast IPA. ask (1) - USA - APR 15, 2005 does not count
Nice IPA. Appearance is cloudy, sparkling with a small white head. Citrusy hoppy flavor. A bitter, long finish.
There’s a new label design on the bottle which is just beautiful. :-)

Pours to a amber/orange color with a nice aroma. Hoppy and citursy flavor. A pretty good IPA that I’d buy again. ontario102 (794) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 1, 2005
yeast, citric aroma with some grassiness; some toasty caramelness; metallic, substantial grapefruity hoppiness and everlasting bitterness; a heart-burner IndianaRed (4933) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 23, 2005
Bottle Pourr a slightly hazy orange amber with a decent white head. Letting this settle down leaves thin clingy lacing. Aroma is malty and not as much hops as I was expecting from the style. Flavor redeems itself though. Rich maltiness and I think a nicely balanced hop bite. Feels quite smooth and rich. fairly heavy and yes the ABV is up there a tad. It al works and I find this to be quite good. WISEGUY572 (1377) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 22, 2005
A good IPA. Extremely cloudy amber with white head. Nose of hops and citrus. Taste of hops, malt, citrus, and pine. Label had a pinup girl. ancherrera (162) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 16, 2005
Hoppy aroma, some evergreens and lemons. Appearance in cloudy (shill haze?). Nice golden color w/ tiny bubble visible like champagne. 2 finger head with good retention. Initial taste is hops and bitter then the oranges and slight malt then bitter all the way to the long long finish. Straightforward IPA, not too complex but enjoyable nonetheless. A few more IPA like this one and Anderson Valley and I may start to consider myself a fan of the style.
my label looked nothing like the one in this picture. It had a 50’s style pin-uo girl on it.
