COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

A hazy orange beer with a dense orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of oranges, while the flavor is sweet malty with light notes of hops and fruit.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy, pilsener golden with a small, off-white head. Rather fresh and fruity aroma. Quite light-bodied, almost watery. Light notes of caramel and aroma hops leaving almost no bitterness. Drinkable indeed - as an alternative to Pale Lager. 210606

Bottled. Clear orange. Sweet and caramelly. A light dose of hops. Some crystal malt and toffee, but not much else. Not an attention grabber.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light dry and criisp. Lagerish pale malts. Virtually no hops here. Poor.

Draft at Churchkey. A pretty middle-of-the-road pale ale. Not bad, just not too exciting.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Honestly, this beer grew on me as I made my way through the pint. Average appearance: light orange, clear, modest white head. Nose of light, earthy malts and easygoing hops. Flavor was a gentle mix of pale malts and sweetness. I certainly picked up on the honey flavors that the description mentions. Finish was clean and firm, though not too firm. An enjoyable beer. It wouldnt be my top choice for a sessioner but neither would it be my last.
