Draft at Toad in the Hole. Pale amber with a slight haze and low diminishing foam. Cushy aromas of warm grains and fruitcake. Taste of apple and caramel precedes a lively minerality. Finish leaves a slight coagulant feel common to session beers fermented with a particular American Ale yeast that’s ridiculously popular. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2006
Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Cookies, hops caramel and some malts in aroma. Flavour is hoppy and smooth, along with some caramellish malts. Leavers a nice sweetishbitter flavour in aftertaste. Wulfstan (509) - California, USA - OCT 17, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2008 This is alight but tasty, crisp ale. It is golden, bubbly, with a thin, dissipating head and has a very mild aroma of grain and flowery elements with a hint of citrus. The taste is similar, being very mild, but pleasant, and lasting with nice balance of light grain/bread with hints of apple and citrus, faint flowery bite, and a crisp, slightly flowery finish. It is refreshing, crisp, and highly drinkable while still providing good flavour. Johncmug (9) - USA - FEB 20, 2014 does not count
Aroma and hop taste are pretty understated. Very pleasant hop flavor. Mellow, soft citrus hop with little bitterness. Bif (2257) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - SEP 29, 2011
Bottle- Pours a copper color with a nice head and some lacing. Fairly mild aroma of citrus and malty sweetness. Flavor of mild malt sweetness with a nice bitterness. Has a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and creamy. Very well balanced. Very enjoyable pale ale. Easy drinker. Well worth a try.

where is this woman swinging? is she swinging? just be careful, your holding a beverage. pour: classic pale ale. nose: sweet pale malt, carbonation bitternessss mouth: like hops in your pale? wont find here, however nice malt character, lightly hopped, not much bitterness with a slight hop resin taste. mouth medium/light giving way quickly. overall, nice, easily quaffed, for those who like hoppy pales dont expect that here, this brew lets the malt shine foward, with a nice pin up girl. falling on a dangerous swing. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Bottle at La Taverna In Kunshan. Pours a very nice copper hue that’s hazy. Pure white head lasts and body has moderate bubbling. Aroma is floral, hoppy, bittersweet and fruity. Taste is bitter malt and light citrus. A real treat after miles of tasteless lagers traveling all over China. Leaves intricate white lace on the glass. Its a decent beer by American standards but numerical rating may reflect withdrawal from availability of good beer. This tastes so fine right now I’m tempted to clean the restaurant out and fill my suitcase to avoid the tsingtao and snow plague in the next town. allmyvinyl (10687) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2014
355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden orange, thin white head. Big pine and resin aromas, very bready too. Taste is bitter, some caramel. A little thin if anything, but a nice pale. WABeerFiend (413) - - JAN 16, 2015
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 04.17.14.
A: Somewhat opaque red/orange. No head with aggressive pour.
S: Spices, sweet malt, grape.
T: Grape, caramel dominate. Tangy citrus is more subtle.
M: Crisp. It felt very carbonated.
O: The taste was great. Sweet grape came on first, followed by caramel, and then a tangy citrus finish lingered. I loved it.
