COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ACME CALIFORNIA PALE ALE is a smooth, clean ale with faint citrus and honey flavor notes and a dry finish. It is brewed with Yakima Valley hops and the finest American two-row malt, but with a measure of British specialty malt for depth. This easy drinking pale ale is a "session beer" which will be welcomed at neighborhood taverns and restaurants (and refrigerators) throughout the west.

Dull orange color, very clear, and with a rocky head of fine bubbles that slips away quickly. Aroma is restrained with a balanced caramel, crispy biscuit malt, light floral hop notes with a very slight herbal edge. Taste is lightly malty in the front, with a delicate grassy bitterness balancing the malt. Very clean finish with a floral aftertaste. ACPA has kind of a blond ale taste. Nothing not to like. Comforting, like a favorite pair of shoes. Feel is watery and smooth. Lightly bodied with lower carbonation. This is an interesting pale. Starts like a blond. Finishes like an English. A good beer to use as an introduction to beers of better flavor than the macros.

Garrrafa @ Xi’an Craft Beer Festival. Coloracao ambar, espuma com boa formacao e baixa duracao. No aroma malte, fermento, mel e frutas citricas (pessego tambem talvez?). Sabor inicial adocicado com lupulos ao fundo dando um final amargo. Corpo leve, retrogosto levement amargo e duradouro. Refrescante, boa drinkability.

The scent of malt is really faint here. I took a few deep whiffs and caught some orange peel in there, but again, really faint. The brew is a pale amber, a shade deeper than a pilsner gold. The head is white and thins pretty quickly. The taste is pretty clean, not very dynamic, but it has a lightly sweet singularity. It is paler than pale, lighter than light. It’s crisp, tastes fine, but there’s not much character. There’s mild carbonation burn on the palate with every sip, but it’s not bad. There’s a thing filminess left behind. Not bad, but only a little more interesting than a Coors Banquet Beer.

Taste comprises grassy hop, light cereal notes, clementines, toasted bread, lemon rind, grain. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so but drinkable.
