Towey1989 (2814) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, slight elderflower, some pale malts, a hint of butterscotch, a touch of caramel and subtle honey. Taste of lemon, elderflower, some pale malts, subtle honey and slight grassy, herbal hops. Light bodied but a watery texture. A dry, grassy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Slightly citrusy and quite grassy and herbal hopped near the end but overall quite a thin and bland golden ale. One of Acorns weakest beers.

Small white head. Slightly hazy yellow body with carbonation. Fruity eau de cologne aroma with spicy notes. Dry-sweet resiny wooden taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish resiny papery aftertaste with spicy fruity wooden notes. Nice, vivid, drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from Clarke’s, Whitby.)

MTLawrence (10) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2012
Pale, but golden colour; pours with a light head with large bubbles that dissipate quickly. Don’t be fooled by this: it has not got the consistency of dishwater - it has an effervescence which is refreshing and light. Taste is clean and well defined, but not unusual for this type of ale.

3.3
vipinvelp (4425) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 11, 2012
Clear yellow with white frosty foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is bit weak, but taste is great. Nice bitter hoppy taste pale. Also aftertaste is good bitter, although not lasting long, crispy. (Velp 201210)
